The Class F Sahand Combined Cycle Power Plant includes one gas unit and one steam unit, with 307 MW gas

capacity and 144 MW steam capacity, for a total of 451 MW. It is located in East Azerbaijan Province near

Bonab. The plant’s 400 kV high-voltage substation includes two power-plant bays, two line bays and three

coupler bays with a double-busbar arrangement, and was installed and commissioned by Rastak Pouya.

Work scope included installation, testing and commissioning of all HV equipment including power and

auxiliary transformers, circuit breakers and disconnectors, current and voltage instrument transformers

and surge arresters; procurement and execution of clamps and fittings; procurement and execution of wire

and tubular busbar equipment; procurement and execution of cable trays, ladders and accessories;

installation/testing/commissioning of protection and control systems; installation/testing/commissioning of

LVAC/DC systems including panels, batteries, battery chargers and inverters; cabling of all control,

protection and AC/DC cables; and procurement and execution of the secondary earthing system.
